Store Soundtrack Review: Slave to the Rhythm

There is one woman that musically rules me and in my opinion is an icon of the 80s.

There is one song that she sings on the selling floor rotation that makes me giddily happy.

There is one line in the said song that fills me with such joy.

And now, ladies and gentlemen…heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s Grace.

Yes my friends, we have reached the first post dedicated to Grace Jones. Slave to the Rhythm…or Ladies and Gentlemen: Miss Grace Jones is the song I would vote most likely to save me from punching a customer that is asking one worded questions.

It…is…gold.

Before continuing in reading this post I implore you to go to YouTube or iTunes and listen to this song. I will wait.

We are all back? Now try and argue that listening to that song doesn’t make you dance, shimmy or rock-out along with it. You can’t, can you?

This song is filled with joy and general awesome-ness that dulls the pain of my retail hell. It almost acts as an anthem for all retail workers, as we work away like a chain gang.

I work, to rhythm. I live, to the rhythm. Yes, I love to the rhythm. But most importantly I am a slave to the rhythm…and a slave to Grace.
